Questioner: Muhammad Bāqir from India

ANSWER:

Kissing the Qur’ān is permissible and recommended and doing so is proven from the actions of the noble sahaba.

Hazart Umar رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ would take the Qur’ān every morning and kiss it and say this is the covenant of my Lord and this is His Book. Hazrat Uthmān رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ would also kiss the Mushaf and place it against his face.

Religious verdicts should not be attained from anyone other than the Sunni scholars. One should not turn his ears towards anything they say and by doing so, you will be safe from any kind of misguidance
