QUESTION:

What do the scholars of the Dīn and muftīs of the Sacred Law state regarding the following issue: I have fifteen years of qadā salāh remaining upon me, and I know that a long time has passed, in that I won’t be able to fulfil my qadā salāh. Can I pray my qadā salāh in place of Sunnah, Nafl and Sunnah Mu’akkadah?

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم
الجواب بعون الملک الوھاب اللھم ھدایۃ الحق والصواب

Yes! You can pray your qadā salāh in place of Sunnah and Nafl but Sunnah Mu’akkadah should not be left out. The amount [of qadā salāh] which is possible to be fulfilled, so it should be fulfilled, and any which remain and one passes away, then one should have a will in place regarding fulfilling the fidyah [compensation] of the remaining salāh.
