QUESTION:

What do the scholars of the Dīn and muftīs of the Sacred Law state regarding the following issue: What are some of the Wazaaif (litanies) to destroy the effects of Ta’weedh (amulet) if an outsider came and buried the Ta’weedh in the house with the intention to harm?

Questioner: Sagheer from UK

ANSWER:

Take the Ta’weedh out of the buried spot and dispose of it by putting it in water (river, stream etc.), and recite the following Wazaaif every day in the morning and evening:

I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of His creation.

And

In the Name of Allah with whose Name nothing in the earth nor in the heaven will harm, and He is All-Hearing All-Knowing.

By reciting the Wazaaif thrice in the morning and evening, Allah-willing, you will be safeguarded against black magic, jinn, poison and from all the other harmful creatures.

One should bear in mind the definition of morning and evening in this concern – A’la Hazrat – may Allah shower mercy upon him – writes:

The duration between midnight till sunrise it is considered as morning, if one reads the du’as within this duration will be considered as done within the morning period.  duration between mid-day (starting point of Zuhr time) and sunset is considered as evening.
