QUESTION:

Is oral sex permissible in Islam to please our spouse? What if we use a condom to prevent the fluids touching the mouth?

ANSWER:

Oral sex is makruh tahriman (prohibitively disliked) in Islam. Therefore it is not allowed to engage in this act.

Fatawa Alamgiri states, “The action of a man placing the private organ between his legs into the mouth of his wife is deemed to be makruh tahriman.”

[Fatawa Alamgiri vol 5, page 372]

Even if a condom is used, this act will remain disliked.

This act is against modesty and in Islam modesty is an important part of faith. The Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وصحبه وسلم) said, الْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ – “Modesty (Al-Haya’) is a branch of Faith.”

[Sunan Nasai Book 47, Hadith 22]

Allah knows best.
