What do the scholars and muftis of the noble Shari’ah say regarding this matter; as a gynaecologist my duties include performing abortions, I wanted to know if I will be sinful for this?

الجواب بعون الملک الوھاب اللھم ھدایۃ الحق والصواب
Performing an abortion can sometimes be allowed and disallowed; depending on the circumstances.
Abortions that are done for some reason and are performed when the foetus is less than 4 months (lunar) old are allowed.
Abortions that are performed once the foetus has reached 4 months (lunar) or more will be impermissible as it is akin to murder.
Therefore, if you performed an abortion on a foetus that was 4 or more months old then you should repent to Allah عزوجل.
