QUESTION:

What do the scholars of the Din and muftis of the Sacred Law state regarding the following issue: I am a female teacher. I have to wait in the school for the transport vehicle. I reach home in the afternoon. Can I miss the Zuhr salah and pray it later?

Questioner: A sister from UK

ANSWER:

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم
الجواب بعون الملک الوھاب اللھم ھدایۃ الحق والصواب

No, missing Salāh without any valid reason as approved by the Sharī’ah is a grave sin and harām (prohibited). In any case, you must perform the Zuhr Salāh during its time only, even if you have to offer it in the school itself. The stated reason is not one due to which missing Salāh is allowed. If one has missed any Salāh due to this reason, then one must repent sincerely and offer the missed prayers.
