What do the scholars of the Din and muftis of the Sacred Law state regarding the following issue: my friend wants to marry a woman whose family has ties to a deviant sect. However, the woman is not involved in any deviant practices or beliefs; she is like the common Muslim of today who is uninformed of matters of Aqidah (creed). This is also the case with her family. Is it permissible to marry such a woman?

If this woman has no such belief that reaches the level of kufr [disbelief] then she is a Muslim and to perform Nikah with her is permissible. And like this if her family is not involved in any deviant practices or beliefs then there is no harm in keeping relations with them.
